The AZIMUTH system is designed for automated up-to-date maintenance of the ship's and shore-based nautical chart collection and navigation guides and manuals of IHO (International Hydrographic Organization) member countries.
The AZIMUTH system provides seafarers with access to updated database of nautical charts and publications, as well as Notices to Mariners:
– AVCS, ADP, ENP updates;
– orders and updates for UNIO MO RF ENCs (Russian Hydrography);
— UNIO MO RF NtMs;
– NtMs of British Admiralty (UKHO);
– NtMs of Australia, New Zealand and Japan;
– Flag Circulars, Maritime Registrars and Class Societies Circulars (21 sources);
– E-NVR – NAVAREA warnings according to the AVCS license;
– E-AIO – temporary notices, according to the AVCS license;
– E-PRC – information about piracy according to the AVCS license;
– technical publications library catalogue updating.
The interface of AZIMUTH is simple and friendly to use. Update process becomes easy, it needs minimal training for the ship's crew.
Weekly updating is performed via email or by direct download from cloud storage. All documents for updating are delivered archived exchange in packages, keeping minimal volume during data transfer. However, the user receives in full the texts and all the necessary graphic data on his paper collection to perform a subsequent update. For digital services (electronic charts and publications), the documents are supplied in ready-made data sets applicable to specific programs. The messages are segmented if there are size limitations on use in the customer mail service.
